The Continental Divide Trail bisects the country from Mexico to Canada via 3,200 grueling miles. While we are not asking you to trail run the entire 3,200 miles, we are offering a guided trail run along a gorgeous 12 mile section of the trail in central Montana!
The entire section of trail that the Alpine Running Guides Continental Divide trip covers is on the actual divide and stays high. While trail running we will have views into the Scapegoat Wilderness, East to the Missouri River, and West along the path of Lewis and Clark.
We rate the Continental Divide trail trip as a moderate difficulty run. Yes, there is a lot of climbing. But it tends to not be consistently steep and the trail is typically in great condition. Distance-wise it falls in the middle of our trips. We do recommend that you are capable of running 15 miles comfortably before joining Alpine Running Guides for this tour. Keep in mind that all of our guided trail runs are casual and laid-back when it comes to pacing. We like to take our time! Please contact us to discuss if this trip is a good fit for you!
The Continental Divide trip is permitted to be on Helena National Forest lands by the Lincoln Ranger District of the United States Forest Service.
