Shaun Radley

‍Shaun moved to Missoula, MT from Redmond, WA to attend the University of Montana. While in Missoula he met his now-wife, Cassidy, out doing what he loves – biking the Missoula trails. For the past 23 years they have continued adventuring in Missoula, and grown their family to include three children while also building successful family-oriented businesses.

His passion for helping others get into adventuring and cycling had space to grow and flourish for six years while working for Adventure Cycling. He started with the shop, but quickly moved to office manager because he liked working directly with customers: getting to know them, helping them map out trips, and lending expert gear advice from personal riding experience.

In 2011, he started working for The Cycling House, a local adventure cycling trip business. A genuine interest in others’ cycling experiences led him to the Chief Operating Officer position. Learning from TCH President Owen Gue and Trips Director Brendan Halpin, he sharpened my skills as a regional, national, and international, trip facilitator. While at The Cycling House, he also race directed Missoula’s biggest cyclo-cross and cycling events, including: Rolling Thunder, Montana Gravel Challenge, and Missoula XC. Shaun is devoted to the local racing community and wants to put on events on that give juniors and masters an opportunity to test themselves and take a break from work and school.

Bike and ski coaching with Alpine Running Guides is a way to bring together everything Shaun has learned about the industry, do what he loves, and help support and grow the endurance community.  He sees coaching as a way to be in the local community supporting athletes of all ages and putting on events.  Shaun has fostered incredible relationships with other Missoula Shops and hopes to perpetuate the success of cycling and skiing in Missoula. He has spent years getting to know hundreds of cyclists and skiers, and their know bikes and skis. What we love about Shaun though is that as knowledgeable as he is about the gear, he's real passion is with helping individuals succeed within the endurance world.
