Epic view of the Great Burn proposed wilderness area, hundreds of mountains, and alpine lakes. An early season guided trail run along the Idaho/Montana border. A full ridgeline experience, late-season snow ball fights!
Run along the wild and scenic Idaho Montana border in this point-to-point adventure. The Stateline guided trail run is our longest, most challenging, and most rewarding run of the year.
The adventure begins with a beargrass covered climb over Torino Peak towards the imposing face of Eagle Cliffs. Traversing the cliffs brings us to the Stateline Trail and expansive views of a vast roadless area replete with goats, bears, elk, and wolves. Our focus will be more on the meandering single track trail that runs along the ridgeline towards our destination at Hoodoo Pass.
The second half of the run we will traverse through part of the proposed Great Burn Wilderness replete with a number of lush tundra meadows, over the top of multiple peaks, and gaze down on a number of deep blue alpine lakes. The Cabinet, Bitterroot, Clearwater, and Mission mountain ranges dominate the distant horizons.
The Stateline trail is a fun, engaging, and wild section of single track. We hope you join us this summer for this guided running experience.
The Stateline Alpine Running Guides trip is permitted to be on the Lolo National Forest. Permission granted by the Superior Ranger District of the United States Forest Service.
