Big mountain views to match the refreshing lakes and lush forest trails. Cube Iron ridge has it all.
Cube Iron Ridge is a brand new trip for Alpine Running Guides!
In the lesser explored areas of Western Montana lies a gem of an area highly regarded by locals. Our Cube Iron trail run will take you on a looping tour of the best this region has to offer. A climb up a lush drainage with old cedars leads us to an incredible ridgeline with views for days. On a clear day you'll be able to see multiple mountain range summits, and gaze down upon the length of the lower Clark Fork Valley.
Our fun is not done after we descend off the ridge. A series of lakes awaits! On a hot day we take advantage of the cool water for a refreshing dip, and just to enjoy the beauty of mountain water.
After we enjoy the last lake our run will take us back down to the vehicle along the same trail we initially climbed. This fun, frolicing descent is a great reward to cap off the day.
We do not recommend this trip for beginning trail runners. We recommend that you are comfortably able to run 12-15 miles, and have done a run with 3,500' of climbing before joining us on this trip. Contact us to see if this trip is right for you!
This area of the Southeastern Cabinets is wild. It’s big country with big views and big wildlife. We can’t wait to share this special place with you. The Cube Iron Ridge trail run is permitted by the Superior/Thompson Falls Ranger District of the Lolo National Forest

"The guides are fun and experienced, but never make you feel inadequate or lacking in skill. The outings offer a chance to experience remote, rarely traveled trails in a safe and convenient manner. We will definitely be back and would recommend Alpine Running Guides without reservation."
